Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Hosts 8th Edition of Ocean Innovators Platform in Singapore
On November 27, 2024, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation successfully hosted the 8th edition of its Ocean Innovators Platform at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The event, attended by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, focused on catalyzing investment in innovative technologies and business solutions that address the ocean’s most pressing challenges.

Olivier Wenden, Vice President and CEO of the Foundation, emphasized the event’s mission to promote entrepreneurial action and raise investment for projects that tackle issues like pollution, overfishing, and climate change, highlighting the establishment of the ReOcean Fund to support the blue economy.
The global ocean is bearing the brunt of human activity—pollution, overfishing, warming waters. But here’s the thing: where there’s challenge, there’s opportunity. If we invest wisely, if we think boldly, we can transform our blue economy into a force for sustainability and equity.

The platform featured a series of discussions on the burgeoning blue tech space, bringing together leaders from venture capital, private equity, and industry experts.
Panelists discussed key sectors such as sustainable aquaculture, green shipping, and plastic pollution solutions, with a focus on driving investment in ocean industries.
The event culminated in a session of Ocean Impact Pitches, where five entrepreneurs presented their groundbreaking solutions to a panel of investors.
HSH Prince Albert II closed the event with a call to action, stressing that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand in the blue economy, and that bold investments in ocean-related sectors are essential for both ecological and financial growth.
Today, we have all the tools in hand to rise to the occasion: the science, the technology, the global awareness to act decisively and courageous leadership rising. While we often hear that sustainability and profitability are at odds, the blue economy proves otherwise. (…) Investments in sustainable aquaculture, renewable ocean energy, and marine biodiversity restoration are showing real potential for both ecological impact and financial returns. This is a rare moment where doing what is right for the planet is also what is right for investors.”
