Prince Albert II attends Super Bowl and reconnects with President Donald Trump

Prince Albert II poses with Donald Trump at Super Bowl

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was among the high-profile guests at the 59th Super Bowl in New Orleans, where he shared a moment with U.S. President Donald Trump. Seated near the Trump family, the Prince—an avid sports enthusiast—enjoyed the game in a setting focused on camaraderie rather than politics.

Beyond the football spectacle, Prince Albert’s visit carried historical and diplomatic significance. He attended exclusive Super Bowl events, including a Wall Street Journal luncheon and a reception hosted by Gayle Benson.

A highlight of his trip was his visit to Sankofa, a 40-acre ecological restoration project in New Orleans in the Lower Ninth Ward, where he was welcomed by New Orleans City Council President Helena Moreno. The park, developed after Hurricane Katrina, serves as a community space for environmental education and resilience-building.

Prince Albert’s ties to the city run deep, tracing back to his great-grandfather Prince Albert I’s marriage to Princess Alice, a New Orleans native. During a past visit, he honored this connection at her birthplace in the historic French Quarter.

The Embassy of the Principality of Monaco to the USA & Canada shared a post on X, February 10th, of Prince Albert meeting President Trump at the New Orleans Superbowl.

Mike Powers, a close friend of Prince Albert’s, H.E. Maguy Maccario Doyle, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco USA and Canada, and Olivier Wenden, CEO of The Prince Albert II Foundation were also at the game.
