Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and International Olympic Committee Partner to Empower Young Leaders in Sustainability
On September 23, 2024, during the UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) formalized a partnership to support the next generation of environmental leaders.
The agreement was officially signed in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Thomas Bach, President of the IOC, Marie Sallois, IOC Corporate and Sustainable Development Director and Olivier Wenden, Vice President and CEO of the Foundation.

The agreement strengthens the Foundation’s Re.Generation Future Leaders Program by integrating young talents from the IOC’s Young Leaders Program.
The collaboration aims to harness the values of sport to drive sustainability and empower emerging leaders in environmental protection. Since 2006, the Foundation has promoted sustainable initiatives and granted support to young changemakers, while the IOC has been fostering social impact through sport since 2016. As a nominating partner, the IOC will identify outstanding candidates under 35 to join the Re.Generation cohort, expanding opportunities for promising individuals committed to sustainability and climate action.
